Ann Jarris, MD, FACEP
Dr. Ann Jarris is the Medical Director for Telemedicine for MD Solutions International. She is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician at Swedish Medical Center/ Issaquah, Mill Creek, and Redmond Emergency Departments, and the past President of Eastside Emergency Physicians. She has also served as Medical Director for Swedish Redmond Urgent Care. Dr. Jarris has a passion for remote medicine and telemedicine, seeking to integrate innovative technologies into healthcare and to drive health information into the hands of the consumer. She believes medicine is ready for a more proactive approach.
Dr. Jarris received her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College. She attended medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Arizona. She has practiced as an Emergency Medicine physician for over a decade, with experience in rural and remote settings. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Business Administration at Seattle University.
Raymond F. Jarris, Jr. MD, MA, FAAFP
Dr. Jarris has over 30 years experience in the emergency, maritime, occupational and family medicine settings. He is known as “Dr. Ray” when serving as a ship’s physician on voyages to polar regions with Quark Expeditions. He has founded several medical service companies including Maritime Health Services, Global Medical Systems, MD Solutions and MD Solutions International and recently co-founded Discovery Health, LLC where he serves as medical director.
Dr. Jarris was previously Medical Director/Americas for an international assistance provider and VP and Medical Director for a regional occupational health company. He has also served as a Captain in the US Public Health Service Reserve. Dr. Jarris received a Commendation and Achievement medals and Citation Ribbon for Sustained Superior Performance of his duties while a Lieutenant Commander in the US Public Health Service/Indian Health Service in the position of Clinical Director of the Taholah Indian Health Center.
Dr. Jarris completed undergraduate and graduate study at Boston University where he earned a Bachelors of Art cum laude with Distinction and Master of Arts in four years of study. He went on to receive his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Washington. He is licensed to practice medicine in 16 states including Alaska, California, Colorado, Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington. Dr. Jarris is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is also a Certified Medical Review Officer providing physician review of federal and non-federal drug testing for employers and government agencies.
Terry Flathers, CPA/CGMA
Terry has over 30 years of experience serving as an outside controller to companies in the service, manufacturing, construction and distribution industries in public accounting firms, and as a director of finance to an energy efficiency company. He has worked with Dr. Jarris in the development and success of Maritime Health Services and Global Medical Systems. Terry received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Washington. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and certified as an Accredited Business Valuation specialist. Terry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Washington, Oregon and California Societies of CPAs.
Sally W. Wooton R.N., Alumnus CCRN
Sally is recognized as a leader in AED program management, customer service, and training programs. She is a critical care nurse experience in cardiac and intensive care, and has served as and consulted with numerous first responder programs during the past 25 years. Sally has been certified in Advanced Critical Care for 20 years. She was a founding partner of Pacific Rim Healthcare consultants, an education, and training and clinical consulting business. She has been a Clinical Specialist in Resuscitation with Philips Healthcare Solutions/Emergency Care and Resuscitation division. Her areas of responsibility included community, corporate, EMS, and hospital implementation of Early Defibrillation programs and AEDs training and deployment. She has served on the American Heart Association’s AED Task Force and as Regional Faculty volunteer trainer. Sally maintains her BLS/ACLS Instructor status. She attended Portland Community College and University of Oregon nursing schools.
Patty has over 20 years of experience as a pharmacy technician and in the supply of vessel medical equipment and pharmaceuticals for global fleets. She has many years experience working with Dr. Jarris and has supported clients of Maritime Health Services and Global Medical Systems. Patty is an expert with DEA regulations and has assisted numerous MDSI clients with the design and implementation of Controlled Substance Programs for fleets in the towing, fishing, blue water and cruise industries. Patty has been recognized by the Antarctic Support Associates for her critical role in supporting a lifesaving emergency medical supply drop.
