Last evening several hundred friends and colleagues joined Melissa and family to celebrate Craig’s life as he wished us to do. We announced the launch of the Craig Aman Legacy Fund which will be hosted by the Resuscitation Academy Foundation in collaboration with MD Solutions International. Please help carry on Craig’s hopes and many years of work to increase survival from Sudden Cardiac Arrest by making a tax-deductible donation by clicking here:
The Craig Aman Memorial Fund will be a source of funding for volunteer fire departments to attend Resuscitation Academy training and leadership events and will sponsor the Craig Aman Memorial Lecture. As Craig would wish, scholarship recipients will be asked to teach High-Performance CPR to first responders in their communities to improve survival from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The speaker chosen for the lecture will be asked to talk not only about the current state of Public Access Defibrillation, CPR and EMS but to focus on the future state. What is on or just over the horizon? As Craig would ask, “How can we do better?”
Last night, memories were shared and tears were shed while we were buffeted by high winds and heavy rain. Many thought this was Craig telling us to hurry up and get on to the celebration. Special thanks to the Seattle Fire Department and Two Vintners for their support and participation in honoring Craig’s life and legacy.
